here we go again girls...i hope you enjoy this months challenges.....

SKETCH CHALLENGE: try out this gorgeous sketch from Pagemaps...and include some bling somewhere on your layout as well here is my layout using this sketch

CRITERIA CHALLENGE: please use the following criteria to create a layout....

*hand drawn edge

*at least one sticker

*scalloped edge

*at least two arrows

*distressing

below is my layout for this challenge......fun, quick and easy so go for it girls!!!

ABOUT YOU CHALLENGE: take a trip back in time and scrap a page about yourself that has photos where you are no older than ten.....thats right girls a pre-teen page all about you!!! this one could be very interesting...hahahaha....

COLOUR CHALLENGE: ok for this months colour challenge i want you to look around your bedroom and use the colours you see there to create your layout choosing one of the colours as a focus colour.....

INSPIRATION CHALLENGE: spring is here so we are going to use our gardens to draw inspiration from this month....go out to your favourite section of your garden and use it as your starting point of your layout...when you send in your layout i would love to see a photo of your garden that inspired you please....

the gorgeous NES has been at it again with two more of the august challenges...the first is the criteria challenge and is of course wonderful...i love the colour tones you have used here for your snowy pics....just yummy honey....

then this gorgeous layout, this time done in digital format was created using the 2nd sketch as her guide....great layout honey!!! i love how this month you have used a mix of styles to complete your layouts.....

Nes chose the "lost highway" album cover for her layout inspiration using the colours featured on the cover.....Nes has also done this one in digital format...i love it honey...it looks great!!

for the august challenges i have decided to be a greedy so and so and make them all about me and my fav people and things etc....hahahaha....drawing inspiration from lots of different sources...i hope you will enjoy the challenges girls....

challenge 1...sketch challenge...just because i LOVE sketches...i have picked two from Pagemaps for you to choose from this month....the first a 12x12 and the second a 8.5 x 11....enjoy...

challenge 2...colour challenge...my fav colours are blue, black and purple.....so have some fun with those colours please...again you can add white if you like but the three fav colours are to be dominant.....

challenge 3....criteria challenge....please use 5 cut out embellishments....

3 stamps or rubons

2 journal blocks

1 piece of ribbon...

challenge 4....about you challenge.....for this month i want to know something you think we might think is a little wierd or crazy about you....something physical or about your personality that makes you ..you!!!

challenge 5..inspiration challenge....hhehehehe...now come on you had to expect something to do with jovi if the challenges were all about me...now didn't you???? hahahaha.... below are the pictures of two different album covers from Bon Jovi's awesome collection...."one wild night" and "lost highway"...draw inspiration from one of these and create your layout.....there are loads of shapes and colours etc to choose from so have fun with it girls.....

challenge 6......quote challenge........i was going to choose some song words for you but to me that is a very personal thing so what i am going to say is...for this challenge you must use a song title or some of the words from one of the following artists songs.... Bon Jovi (of course..hehehe). Keith Urban, Pink, Nickelback, sugarland or hannah montana just had to throw that one in too...hehehehe)....

as this now brings us back up to date with the challenges there will be a monthly prize draw for those who have 3 of these challenges done and emailed to me by the 8th of september....for those not wishing to go into the prize draw you simply have to have at least three of these done by the end of year deadline....

here we go again with more catch up fun.....so no need to rush these either...just need to be done by the end of the year deadline.....

challenge 1....inspiration challenge....draw inspiration from this photo of our "shut up and scrap" birthday cake we had at july's class to celebrate 2 years of scrapping classes together....you could use the colours or shapes or both! it is all up to you..... challenge 2.....sketch challenge....this gorgeous pagemaps sketch will be heaps of fun to do i am sure!!

challenge 3...criteria challenge....please use ribbon, brads, brackets and paint somewhere on your layout.....oh and have a circle somewhere to please.....

challenge 4...colour challenge.....use orange, green and yellow.....a little bit of black or white can be used if you need to but these three colours need to be the dominant colours used please....

challenge 5...about you challenge.... tell me or show me one of your favourite things to do when you were a child (at least under 12)......

challenge 6...quote challenge..." courage....not the absence of fear or despair, but the strength to conquer them"

here we go with the june challenges...yeah i know FINALLY!!!!.....these simply have to be done by the end of the year with the final deadline....no hurry here....

challenge 1......sketch.... challenge 2....colour combo....winter wonderland time please girls.....use blue, white and a third colour of your choice that you think is a winter colour....

as always this challenge must have a photo of you somewhere on the layout....

challenge 6....inspiration challenge....look at layout and colours of this blog and use it to inspire your layout...you might focus on the colours and the shapes.....the choice is yours....

Hi we realise that May is almost over but here are the challenges you have extra time, the June challenges will go up next week back on schedule. Sorry for the hiccup.

So the first challenge is a SKETCH form pagemaps, i liked it as you use slightly smaller photos and i can't wait to see how you make them pop off the LO.

Next we have ALL ABOUT ME which i would like to see you use as the title. It also needs to have at tleast one photo of you and journalling or photos that describe who you are.

COLOUR COMBO you can only use green/ aqua/ pink (black and white are ok too)

SINGLE PAGE you must use

5-eyelets

1- word title

i am so over computers!!!! anyway i know that april is over...well pretty much .....but i don't want to mess up our comp by not posting somthing for april for you all ...so to make up for april..and to make it easy to catch up i have simply posted these sketches for you to choose from ...sorry for the ramdom placing..they just don't want to load any otherway...anyway you have until the end of may to complete 3 april challenges.......

colour challenge: of course you have to use green!!...use at least two different shades of green with black and white....

luck challenge: what do you feel lucky or blessed to have in your life??? it could be a person, a favourite thing or favourite passtime that brings you great comfort...whatever it is, scrap it and tell us all about why you feel lucky to have them or it in your life...

what no scrapping challenge??? scrap about something you love to do but not scrapping....it must be about something else you love to do either by yourself or with your family or friends....

OTP/card challenge...for this challenge you can create an OTP item or a set of 3 cards....you need to include the items listed but they don't have to be dominant or the only things you use...we just need to be able to see them amoungst everything else you might use...if making cards each card doesn't have to have everything listed on each one..they can be spread out over the 3.....if you have any questions about this one just drop me an email.....

so here we go with the first six challenges for the year...see what you think of these.....

first challenge a gorgeous sketch from pagemaps the sketch is actually for an 8.5 by 11 inch page but adapt it to fit your own needs..........there are no other requirements here other than using the sketch as your inspiration......

second challenge: this one is a colour challenge..... summer is here and it makes me think of the beach so for this challenge incorporate the colours blue, yellow and white into your layout........

third challenge: Quote challenge...... below is a few quote's i collected from quote garden....choose one and include it on your layout...i have choosen a couple of funny ones and some more serious of various topics...i hope you find one you like!

fourth challenge: New years day!....do you celebrate on new years day with particular traditions? how did you celebrate this year? OR did you set any new years resolutions? how are you going to go about sticking to them? choose one of these ideas about new years and create a layout about it....

fifth challenge: Billboard charts: the billboard charts has kept track of the most popular artists, albums and songs for more than 70 years.....choose a particular year in your life and look up the billboard chart for that year....looking at the music of that year see what memories come to you from the music that surrounded you....create a layout showing us these memories and telling us why these particular songs have memories for you....OR just tell us about your fav music from that year........

sixth challenge.....January 23 is national handwriting day so for this challenge i would like the main feature of your layout to be your handwriting...lots and lots and lots and lots of journalling....tell your story more with words than your photos or embellishments....

ok ..i hope you find some challenges here that will start the mojo flowing for the year.....don't forget if you get the required three completed before february 13th ( i have extended the deadline because of the challenges going up so late into the month) you will go into the monthly prize draw for january....you have until december 31st technically though to complete the challenges.....simply email all completed challenges as you create them and i will post them up for us all to share! have fun everyone!
